Videos have the ability to give job seekers a glimpse into not only the job opportunity but the company culture as a whole. Recruitment marketing videos can be showcased on a corporate career site, in job postings, and even on social media pages. These videos work best when they are attention-getting, engaging, and unique to the position.

Our team works on a variety of recruitment marketing videos, but one of our favorite styles is a “Day in the Life” video. These 1-3 minute videos highlight an individual employee going about their day working for the company. They begin with how they start their day, showcase an average day on the job, and give a sneak peek into what all it entails. They typically include a first-person view and testimonials, and sometimes that includes grabbing a morning coffee, commutes, conference calls, lunch breaks, office birthdays, corporate events, and more. They can be as high-level or as detailed as the employer prefers, but the main goal is to give potential candidates a behind-the-scenes look at the job they’re applying for.

Recruit Rooster’s Creative Services team has had the opportunity to work on a variety of these Day in the Life videos, and we have rounded up a list of our favorite ones below:

A Day in the Life of a Finance Manager at Unilever

Our team had the opportunity to travel abroad for this onsite visit. The shoot took place in Canada and focused on gathering footage and employee testimonials for a few different job positions that Unilever was hiring for. This video gives a sneak peek into life at Unilever as a Finance Manager.

A Day in the Life of a Driver at Mohawk

We traveled to Calhoun, GA to shoot this Day in the Life video all about what it’s like to be a drive at Mohawk. The Recruit Rooster Creative Services team never turns down the opportunity to incorporate some drone shots into a video, and this onsite visit did not disappoint.

A Day in the Life: First-Person

This video took the term behind-the-scenes to a new level with its first-person perspective of the interview and hiring process at Frontdoor. Our team traveled to Memphis, TN to shoot this video, and even had the chance to meet the Memphis Grizzlies mascot, Grizz, in the process!

A Day in the Life at Chicken Salad Chick

Our team was able to stay close to home for this Day in the Life video. When a few new Chicken Salad Chick locations opened in Indianapolis our team traveled around filming testimonials showing what a typical day is like there.

A Day in the Life of a Machine Operator at Unilever

This next Day in the Life video shows what it’s like to be a Machine Operator at Unilever. It gives a great behind-the-scenes look at the type of equipment an employee handles on a day-to-day basis there.

A Day in the Life of a Sales Manager at Recruit Rooster

This last video shows more of a testimonial style and focuses on asking the employees questions about their position and the company culture. This style gives the candidate a look at a day in the life of an employee but it feels like having a conversation with them. We may be a little biased, but it’s definitely one of our favorites!
