From the DEAMcon22 stage in San Diego to the remote office spaces scattered around the country, the Recruit Rooster team has been here, there, and everywhere in April. However, despite their travels, this creative crew has churned out new recruitment marketing projects for clients and is steps closer to adding new features to their Talent Community. Big things are coming, my friends! Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s dive in and look at the newly launched ONE Gas career site, featuring the new Military Crosswalk 2.0 functionality and a blogging component.

With locations throughout Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas, ONE Gas, Inc. is a 100% regulated natural gas utility company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and one of the largest natural gas utilities in the United States. While providing service to more than two million customers, this company serves residential, commercial, industrial, transportation, and wholesale customers in each of the states. Whew – with all of that territory to cover, staying committed to delivering natural gas for a better tomorrow is their motto. What helps them do that? Being properly staffed, continuously focused on inclusion and diversity efforts, and reaching out to the veteran and military community – that’s where Recruit Rooster came in.

The Military Crosswalk has always been a coveted product for Recruit Rooster, and it’s helped employers like ONE Gas better engage with veteran and transitioning servicemembers over the years due to the military job title and code translational services. To advance this platform, Recruit Rooster has upgraded this powerhouse product to include the ability to browse jobs by Military Base and include veteran resources relevant to job seekers. Part of providing a better tomorrow includes internal hiring, and ONE Gas focuses on hiring for diversity, which is seen throughout its inclusion and diversity page. From its importance to leadership to highlighting the many employee resource groups (ERGs) available, ONE Gas shows potential candidates that they are champions for diversity, even listing out veteran organizations with which they are proud partners.

In addition to the upgraded Military Crosswalk 2.0 platform, ONE Gas added a blogging component to its career site. With this feature, the HR team can share employee stories and perspectives from ERGs in a series called “Talent Talks.” These posts allow ONE Gas to bring the company to life by sharing employee testimonials of their lived experience and day-to-day within the company. Most recently, ONE Gas highlighted the black leaders within the organization and featured these individuals on the blog.

With another crowing success for client ONE Gas in the books, Recruit Rooster’s team continues to monitor the site and analytics for not only areas of improvement but also to see how these new features better support recruitment and hiring efforts focused on inclusion and diversity.
